Excellent news. Lets hope that all regions work to spread the more fun/morale (no df's) blackball. Hopefully we can get more of the bigger city leagues into the fold. Coventry in our area seems to be a bit torn between codes but have introduced the bb break-off rules into the 'fudge' rules so far, so here's hoping!
Keep Right On!!!

well hope so fella, the game of bb is great and much more nicer to play the epa w/rules in my view.

when it comes to big city areas playing bb ive been scouring the net for pool leagues in newcastle but not getting anywhere so if anyone has any info or contacts i can use to get the bb word about then that would be a great help.

ive managed to get 2 leagues in the northeast playing and the area can boast if you include washington league who doesnt seem interested in county for the northeast!!!Angry 600+ players now playing bb rules considering its only been in our area 1 year.

north east is looking for 2 more county teams to make a proper group for county alas im finding this so hard th achieve

east yorkshire
north yorkshire
teesside

2 more needed anyone have any ideas????

just a little update on how things are progressing in the northeast and county!!

as you all might be aware up norht east lads have been working hard to bring the game of blackball to the good old northeast and with the stokesley league now embracing the bb format and rules set its great seeing movement. now where we are its dominated by epa and harwoods barmy rules!!!!! no disrespect to them but brainwashing isnt something i condone!!!!!!

me and dave have been working so hard on this county in the northeast and now can confirm that disscussions are under way with the washington & district league near newcastle in bringing a "a and b " side into our county for 2011 seasonLOL Laugh Love

the washinton league is a league that plays bb pool and seem very keen to join our family of blackball pool in the north so watch this space all is picking up.

just want to add i keep a keen eye on pool in both rules set and would like you to look on facebook and join the below group.

abolish the epa banning pollicy pollicy- its up to 110 members as this group is trying to make numb nut harwood see that the choice pollicy is wrong

I think most grassroots players still play the old rules. Most who play county or in tournaments seem to play world rules but i think this is simply because they are the established rules in England and new competitions always seem to be world rules. It looks like blackball is growing, slowly, with more counties starting up but more could be done. Some regional tours would be a start but its hard to compete when the EPA apparently run everything.

There used to be the PPPO, which had interest in England, but that appears to have died off now and the "National Blackball Tour" run by EBPF gets limited interest and doesnt appear to be advertised that much. I'm sure the EBPF hierachy do as best a job as they can but, in truth, they don't seem to have the know how that the EPA, and independant world rules organisers, appear to have in the country.

i think the ebpf and its numbers in england will grow, lets be fair about this in england w/rules dominates but bb has grown some what.

if more player took a look at this rules set they will find them to be a cracking set of rules,i for 1 love the rules and can only see them going 1 way and thats up.as for national events tour events numbers will grow there has been alot of new leagues players ect that atm wont feel that confident.once there in the swing they will defo join in but with sdo much pool being played there is alot of choice.

"the futures bright the futures blackball"

zaza alot of players are now looking at playing them both in league format but alas county and upwards if epa players play both the the "epa" will ban them!!!!!! shocking isnt it!!!!!

ebpf doesnt ban players from playing any rules set in england only epa do the banning.

" not long ago a lady in oxford was banned playing super league epa and is a bb top brass player" so there you go untill the doors open fully silly minded people in epa hinder both rules set
